“My Life Under Hitler” program a big success

Friday, January 27th, Mooresville Public Library hosted Mr. Fredrick Folkerts, a German-born World War II survivor, for a talk in the Selma Burke meeting room.

Full to capacity, the program attracted adults of all ages, some home-schooled teenagers and one pre-school student. folkerts1

Showing where his hometown is located, with the assistance of Program Coordinator Megan Mosher, Mr. Folkerts taught a few German phrases.


He was very proud of of his wife, seated in the second row with the green top.
